Covid

Ways our church is looking to help:

  • Prayer requests (submit a prayer request for yourself or a loved one who is suffering or needs support during this time. God’s word tells us “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”– Philippians 4:6-7. )
  • Idea: Just a suggestion but it would be great to see captains and co-captains for each street on Darwin Park who are willing to help neighbours during the virus epidemic or at least coordinate help on their street. Let your neighbours know you are willing to help them so they have a point person to contact if they are quarantined and can’t get out. Help can come in the form of just picking up some shopping for those who are self-quarantining such as high-risk individuals (e.g. elderly, those with underlying conditions, etc). Good quarantine practice will help keep the pressure off our NHS so they can do a quality job and they themselves don’t get overwhelmed. Maybe use WhatsApp or something similar to keep in touch with those on your street. If you don’t have a Street Captain yet you need help due to self-quarantine or the like then please contact us
