Bible

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105). The Bible, God’s word, is a guide for life. It is God’s love letter to us! What better goal for this year than to read through the Bible in 2022? I know that you may say like me , “I’m not sure I have the time to do that”. But how often do we waste time during our day by sitting in front of the TV or reading social media.

“… how oftent do we waste time during our day”

Read the bible in 2022

Instead we need to feed our souls the truth of God’s Word, the Bible. So I am recommending, like our friends at the Gospel Coalition, that we use Robert Murray M’Cheyne’s plan, which will take us through the entire Bible in a year (including the New Testament and Psalms twice). You can download it and print it and put it in your Bible or link to it from your phone (bookmark) so you can pull it up at any time. The great thing about this reading plan is that it has you reading both old and new testament passages as well as the Psalms each day. Give it a try!

Maybe even better is the email newsletter which Crossway and The Gospel Coalition have come up with. It includes the text of the passages and the audio of each passaage. Also for each passage it have a devotional explanation of the passage by New Testament scholar Don Carson.

Daily Newsletter. daily newsletter with Don Carson’s devotional reflection along with related articles and links to each day’s Bible readings. I highly recommend the newsletter for those who have access to email. Try it – you’ll like it!
